There are also discounted rates for children ages four to twelve on all of our regular cruises. The Adult BYOB Twilight Cruise is the exception since you must be 21+ to be on that boat. All passengers on the Shrimping Eco Tour must have a paid ticket, as well, including children of any age. There are a number of good restaurants on this pedestrian boulevard – we especially recommend Shtastliveca for Bulgarian food and Raffy’s Gelato and Bar for drinks. Raffy’s is super popular, but keep in mind it doesn’t have WiFi.

I expect during the summer this would be on and if it lights up it may look good in the blue hour. You could also try taking pictures using an ND filter during the day to get nice smooth water. One of my favourite buildings in the city is the Ivan Vazov National Theatre. The building was designed by Viennese architects and is named after one of Bulgaria’s most famous writers, Ivan Vazov. In front, you’ll find a patterned pavement which is great for framing your image, with lines leading towards the building. I recommend the soft shell crab sandwich on white bread at Lorraine's restaurant on Tangier Island.

For a decidedly more classy evening, hit up the Sofia Opera and Ballet. It’s surprisingly affordable (we paid 15 leva or about $8 USD per ticket) and extremely fun. We went to see the Georges Bizet opera Carmen and thoroughly enjoyed our fun night out on the town. Be sure to dress up just a bit to add to the fun, although it’s not a super fancy affair.

This beautiful and impressive statue of Sveta Sofia is really nice and considered a little erotic. The owl in her left hand is to symbolize wisdom, the crown is power, and the wreath is fame. I’m not sure this would make a good Instagram photograph but it’s still nice to see and capture. The Lion’s Bridge is a great place to watch trams going past. For some nice high perspectives, I recommend staying in the Hotel Lion (where I stayed).
